Shaw and Lines is the attorney of record for Carter Ranch Homeowners. I am not an attorney and I do not give legal advice. This is just my story.
In September of 2022 I received notice from Gus Shaw at Shaw and Lines that Snow Property Management would be putting a lien on my house and taking us to court if we didn't pay up on our outstanding late dues and missing dues. I returned the following letter to mister Shaw with copies to each of the board members individually and Snow Property Management.:

RE: Notice of Dispute, invalidity and false claim of Late and Missing Dues, and
other encumbrances associated with same
Dear Gus,
I am in receipt of your latest informative letter dated 9 September, 2022. Thank you for
the additional example of poor accounting practice. Once again, if you think Dusty can
add 2+2 and get 4 for an answer, please proceed with the invalid lien and court.
Please advise when you place the invalid lien on the property at:

Coolidge, AZ 85128
Also, please advise court date ASAP so I can have my suit pressed and get a clean
(maybe even new) shirt and clean underwear.
No need to respond to this letter. I will no longer litigate this matter via Post Office.
This is the last of your letters I will respond to. It is time for you to fish or cut bait. This
issue is for a Judge to decide. Please make sure the Process server has my phone
number (480-993-xxxx) as we are in and out all the time and it will be easier for him to
call us to set up a time to receive.
Just remember, you, Dusty, and each of the individual board members have reason to
know that this debt is invalid and based on false claims. ARS-33-420-A

I never heard back from any of them. I guess threatening to counter sue each of them was all it took. The number they claimed that we owe is off by more than $72 and, in law, a miss is as good as a mile. Let me add that, in my humble opinion, Gus is an inept attorney. As you can see from earlier posts, he took us to court for flying the Catholic Flag to profess our religion and the first responder flag. He took close to $30,000 from the Carter Ranch Homeowners. All over what should have been a $25 fine each month at worst. As the judge told him 'you had the 'right' to bring this to court and you have the 'right' to pay for it.' But he paid for his ineptitude with the homeowners money. On the other hand, he "made out like a bandit".
